Dear Festival Community,
Out of an abundance of caution with the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic, we are postponing our full festival experience until 2022.
It is with great pleasure, however, that we announce the return of The Ossipee Valley String Camp (July 18-22nd) for summer 2021, as well as a micro-festival with capped attendance the weekend after the camp (July 23rd-24th)!
The string camp will be the same size that it has been in the past (100 students) with modified structures to allow for smaller class sizes. The Microfestival will be truly ‘Micro’–a capped attendance of 1/4 the size of the 2019 festival, and no extra events such as barn dances and the kids music program, no packed beer tent–just a stage show on one stage each day, and a handful of food and craft vendors. The intention of the event will be to support live music performance, and gather with others in a wide open outdoors space. We do not require vaccinations to attend, but because of that open policy, we will still be requiring masks in the concert seating area, even for vaccinated folks, per CDC guidelines, unless those guidelines change by July. ALL tickets including hookups will need to be purchased PRIOR to attending, there will be no tickets sold at the gate.
The dates will be July 18th-22nd for camp, and July 23rd and 24th for the micro-festival. Both events will follow strict threshold qualifiers for possible cancellation. The organization will maintain the right to cancel both events if Covid-19 patterns do not significantly improve from current (April 2021) data, or if they do improve, and then worsen before the events start.
Please visit the specific Microfestival page for more details about the festival.
Please also stay tuned for announcements about small evening concerts supporting festival musicians this summer and fall in the festival’s geographic area, as well as an online store for merchandise which will support local and regional artists with the sales. As a nonprofit we take our role in supporting the arts community seriously. While there are limitations on what can happen in the next year, there are ways to create safe outdoor experiences on a smaller scale. We are committed to supporting musicians as we all navigate this next year together.
