About BLUE HILL BRASS

Now in its 42nd year as an ensemble, the Blue Hill Brass was originally formed to help fill up a concert program for a George Stevens Academy Christmas concert in Blue Hill. Over this decades-long span, the group has performed for festivals, fairs, concerts, and special events throughout Maine and New England, specializing in upbeat popular brass music. The group features three of its original members: Curt Brossmer on trumpet, Stephen Norris on trombone, and Paul Greenstone on tuba. They have regularly performed at the Yarmouth Clam Festival, the Martha’s Village Agricultural Fair, and recently played for the Eclipse Festival in Houlton, as well as at the Union Fair and the Common Ground Fair. Their street performance in Bar Harbor has become legendary.

Their goal is to put a smile on everyone’s face.
